Martin G. Owen
I think it is important to have a strong personal identity due to the need for professionalism within the workplace. This is why I decided to create my own branding to represent my work and communication in a professional setting.
Deliverables:
Logo & Branding
Shades & Tints
Aside from the three main colours of the brand, to meet accessibility guidelines and also allow for more creativity with restrictions, various shades and tints of 4 main colours have been used.
WCAG
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines has been used to determine strong contrast ratios for icons, text and titles. These can be seen below with text behind solid backgrounds.
Patterns
Geometric patterns represent my thinking of structure and reliability, and using this thinking to create innovative ideas. The patterns as an asset for social and page furniture for documents.
Lines are used to connect ideas and show fluid thinking. The repeated pattern uses the top half of my monogram in two cuts, this is to be used for identity recognition on pages.
Typefaces
I chose the typefaces Korolev and Montserrat to create a balance between modernity and versatility. Korolev has a clean, geometric style that reflects structure and reliability.
Montserrat adds a contemporary touch with its friendly look. Pacifico adds creativity and personality, creating a casual and inviting vibe while maintaining a professional touch.
HTML & CSS
I used HTML and CSS to design a professional email signature, by coding the signature I ensured it would be responsive and visually consistent across different email clients.
HTML allowed me to structure the content effectively, while CSS customised the fonts, colors, and spacing for a polished look.
